2020 Season Update
Hello Mt. View Families,
I regrettably need to inform everyone that the MPSL has cancelled the 2020 season due to ongoing safety concerns.
However, with that said, I would like to offer our Mt. View Family the opportunity for clinics. They will be signed up for on a weekly basis and will have a weekly focus. They may be limited in numbers. I will also offer the opportunities for private clinics for those that are interested.
While I don't have specific details on this yet, they will be available as soon as as we know more about the pool opening and things from there. (ie, dates, times, costs, etc).
To sign up to get more information: http://eepurl.com/g3ao6b (which is a mail chimp sign-up) or via remind: https://www.remind.com/join/698ga8
The official message of the league is:
Safety is our top priority for swimmers, coaches and family members. We have reviewed Gov. Wolf's plan for re-opening Pennsylvania as well as management practices and actions that would be necessary to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 for our swimmers, coaches, and family members --as well as for our officials, spectators, and pool staff. The actions that would be necessary for proper sanitation for the facilities and requirements for social distancing make it most impractical, if not impossible, to conduct swim meets, presently.
Thus, our statement:
Regretfully, the Mid-Penn Swim League (MPSL) and Capital Area Swim League (CASL) must cancel its 2020 season, this includes dual meets, invitationals and championship meets, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
