Mt. View Wins First Meet & Updates
Congratulations to all of our Marlins on a great first meet today! The Marlins were victorious 347 to Piranhas 90. Results have been loaded into your swimtopia accounts and a PDF is attached of the full results.
It was a bit of a rough start when the technology wouldn't work (however, I've talked with a few other teams and it wasn't just us having issues!) however we did a great job and the other Coach thanked us for a well run meet!
At our meet on Saturday there was 1 TEAM record broken!
Caitlyn Altenburger broke the 11-12 girls 100 Free record with a new time of 1:14.89; beating the 24 year old record set by Amanda Clugh of 1:19.33 from July 1997!
Way to go Caitlyn!
The sign-ups for the next meet this Saturday June 26th will be open at 11 PM. We ask that you sign-up by Wednesday so that we can do the line-up.
Relay will be at the beginning of the meet and will be medleys.
Based upon team sizes and previous years meets, our meet against Dauphin will be the meet that decides the Division Championship. Please consider attending!
Practice Updates
There will be no change in practice start times for the season! Mini Team parents should've received an email regarding a change of day.
***Please note that swim lessons are finishing up on Monday and Tuesday this week due to the pool issue that caused delays, so the 9 AM groups will be done a bit earlier to allow for cleanup. After that, we will go full time, with the exceptions of Wednesdays beginning June 30th where we will need to be out by 9:50 AM due to a pool event with Parks & Rec camp.
Please reach out with questions! Great job today everyone! And thank you parents for a great job setting up, running the meet, and cleaning up post meet! You're the best!
Coach Jess
