Good afternoon,

Here are some details for Saturday's Meet at Hummelstown. We know it's going to be a close meet and we have kids moved around for what the coaches think is the best option for points. This might mean they are up an age group or swimming something different. 

Arrival: 7:15 AM [warm-ups will follow shortly thereafter]

Location: Hummelstown Swim Club 301 Kokomo Ave, Hummelstown, PA 17036

Meet Start Time: 8:00 AM. We hopefully should be done by 11:00 AM

Special Notes about Hummelstown: They do have a small parking lot. If their lot is full you will need to go down to their grass area, they have parking instructions for there in how to park in rows. DO NOT PARK ON THE STREET. Many of the families in that area will call to have your car ticketed and/or towed. 

TRAFFIC NOTICE: There is a food truck festival and a bike race and craft fair happening in Hummelstown tomorrow. It shouldn't impact our arrival but it may impact our departure. For anyone coming from the south, east or west into Hummelstown we may have a smaller impact. Plan ahead as there is likely detours if coming in that direction. 

Odds & Ends:

Reminders: This is a yard pool. We have only swam in meters so far this year. Your times will look a lot faster in yards. Check your times in Swimtopia for your events to help you figure out if you've set a best time or not

Seating Area: Our designated area is the side by the bushes from the slide area down to the baby pool. Hummelstown gets the closer area. 

Concessions: They will have a concessions available with breakfast options and a few lunch options.

Photography Reminders: For those of you that are new and this please be aware that you MAY NOT take photographs/video behind the blocks or at the turn end of the pool. They must be taken between the flag area along the sides. We know your excited for your kids possibly first meet, but this for the safety and protection of all swimmers and is a league rule we must enforce. If you are told to put your phone away or to move to a different area please be respectful of this and do what you are asked. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

Spectator Seating: Along the pool. Please be sure to stay off the pool deck so timers, officials and volunteers can get by. Generally they have it roped off so it's not an issue. 

Upon arrival/Entrance: Go to the main entrance. There are stairs to enter their facility. 

Parking: See special note above, again do not park on the street. 

Events for Swimmers: This year instead of cards, we will be loading all events (and relays) into Swimtopia's app. Events are still being worked on and if we complete it they should be viewable sometime this evening. It's going to be a close meet so we are looking at it extra hard!

Volunteer Needs still:

We are still in need of the following volunteers to run the meet

• 1 second half finish judge
• 2 second half officials (must be certified)
