Championship Meet Info & Divisionals Sign-Up (Due July 12)
Hi Team,
This email is a bit long, but it has everything you need to know about championship season — Divisionals, All Stars, and Mid-Caps. Please read carefully (it has information for returning and new families)!
🏆 What Are Championships?
Our season ends with a three-tiered championship series. Here’s how it works:
- Divisionals – Saturday, July 19 @ Dauphin Pool
This is our end-of-season meet, open to all eligible swimmers. Swimmers compete for time, not place, and try to qualify for the next round. All Division teams attend (us, Dauphin, Heatherfield, and Hummelstown).
💰 Entry fee: $20 per swimmer (paid at registration or due by July 16) - All Stars – Sunday, July 20 at Annville-Cleona Pool
The top 16 individual swimmers across all divisions (A, B, C) qualify, based on their Divisionals times. The top 8 relays also move on. - Mid-Caps – Saturday, July 27 at Central York High School
A championship between our Mid-Penn League and the Capital Area Swim League (west shore). The top 8 from each league’s All Star Meet compete.
✅ Who’s Eligible?
To swim in Divisionals, a swimmer must have competed in at least two meets this season. One of those meets must have been a dual meet, the second can be a paid invitational.
If your swimmer is not available for All Stars or Mid-Caps, they can still swim Divisionals — but they won't be placed on a relay. If they are available for the full championship series, they may be selected for a relay.
💵 What's the Cost?
- Divisionals has a $20 entry fee per swimmer (regardless of how many events you swim).
- This was new last year — you must pay $20.
- If you already paid this at registration, you’re all set. If not, we’ll email you a payment reminder.
- Payment is due by Wednesday, July 16. Drop off checks (to Mt. View Swim Team) or cash in an envelope marked with your swimmer’s name and "Divisionals" into the swimmer box. There is a folder in the back for Divisionals.
All Stars and Mid-Caps have no additional cost to you if you qualify for those meets.
📝 How Do I Sign Up?
We're NOT using SwimTopia for Divisionals sign-up this year. Instead, please fill out this Google Form:

- Sign-up is required whether you’re attending or not.
- Deadline: Saturday, July 12 at 9:00 PM (No late entries allowed.)
🏊 Event Selection
- You can pick up to 3 individual events.
- If your swimmer is placed on a relay, their third event will be dropped.
- You may also write "coaches' choice" if you're unsure.
📌 No event changes will be allowed after Monday morning, July 14, and this will only be done if there was an error on entries on your or the coaches part.

🤝 Want to Swim a Relay?
There’s a question on the sign-up form for that!
✔️ Only swimmers who are available for All Stars and Mid-Caps will be placed on relays.
❌ Please don’t list “relay” as one of your 3 individual events.

👥 Volunteer Info
Volunteer sign-ups for Divisionals are now open in SwimTopia. Please note: while meet entries go through Google Forms, all volunteer roles are handled in SwimTopia.
Our team has been assigned the following official meet responsibilities:
- Timers
- Officials
- HyTek Results Proofreader
✅ Volunteers filling these roles will receive free admission to the meet.
We also have a few team-run volunteer needs during the meet:
🦆 Duck-o-Grams Fundraiser
We’ll be selling rubber duck messages that get delivered to swimmers during the meet. Help is needed for:
- Staffing the sales table
- Delivering ducks to tents
- Cleanup (either during the meet or once we sell out)
This mostly happens during warm-ups and the first half of the meet, but could extend through the 100 freestyles if not sold out.
🚫 These roles do not include free admission, as they are internal to our team.
🚥 Staging Support
We need 2 parent volunteers per half to help get swimmers from our team tents to the staging area so they don’t miss their races.
🚫 Like duck-o-gram roles, this does not include free admission.
