Hello Families,

Looking at this mornings radar it is going to rain and maybe small thunderstorms so its a perfect time to remind you of our practice policy regarding weather for practice:

We will hold practices rain or shine throughout the season. 

We do not practice during thunderstorms. If thunder or lightning occurs, all swimmers will be cleared from the pool and we will follow a 30-minute waiting period after the last observed thunder or lightning strike before resuming activities. Whenever possible, we will try to wait out storms and continue practice within our normal scheduled time. As a result, there may be days when one practice session is able to take place while another is canceled.

That said, please make the decision that is best for your swimmer and your family. This is especially true for our newer and younger swimmers. If you know that practicing in rainy conditions will be uncomfortable or overwhelming for your child, please do not stress about attending. We want swimming to be a positive experience, and there will be plenty of opportunities throughout the season to learn, improve, and have fun.
