Good Evening, Marlins Families!

What a great morning for the Marlins! Today we took on Devon Crest, the largest team in the Mid Penn Swim League, in a crossover meet. While their roster was nearly three times the size of ours today, our swimmers showed tremendous effort, determination, and speed throughout the morning. We won plenty of events, posted numerous best times, and added several new names to the Mt. View Top 10 lists!

🏆 New Team Records!

We had three team records fall today!

Arielle Wagner

• 13-14 Girls 100 IM – 1:12.47
  • Breaks the previous record of 1:14.05 held by T. Gross (set before 2000!)

Shep Rutherford

• 8 & Under Boys 25 Freestyle – 17.25
  • Breaks the previous record of 17.80 held by K. Keane from the 1980s!

Arielle Wagner

• 13-14 Girls 50 Butterfly – 32.00
  • Breaks Caitlyn Altenburger's 2022 record of 32.79!

Congratulations to Arielle and Shep on making Marlins history!

🏅 Invitational Meets

Many of our invitational meets are now open for entries. While invitationals are optional and require an entry fee, they are fantastic opportunities for additional racing experience and often include unique events that aren't offered at dual meets.

I'll be sending a separate email with details and deadlines, as several entry deadlines occur this coming week.
