Dear Marlin Families!

As we are in our final week of the regular season, I want to share some important reminders and updates so you're in the loop as we wrap up a great summer of fast swimming!

🏊 Practice Schedule Reminders

Mini Team:
Your final practice will be Tuesday 7/21 (make up for the two weather/cancelled days). Please plan for a slightly longer session as we wrap up your season with a little extra fun. 

Regular Team:
If your swimmer is NOT participating in Divisionals this Saturday, your last in-water practice will be:

• Thursday morning for morning swimmers (You are welcome to come for pancakes on Friday but we ask that you not practice)
• Tuesday evening for evening swimmers (You are welcome for pizza on Thursday but ask that you not practice)

We encourage all non-Divisional swimmers to still join us for the pizza party (Thursday at 7 PM for evening families at the Park) and pancake breakfast (Friday AM for our morning families-arrive plan to have afterwards) to celebrate the season. However, we ask that only swimmers attending Divisionals participate in swim practices during the final day on Friday so our coaches can focus on preparing those competing.

🎽 Drag Day Is Back!

Drag Day (a.k.a. one of the most-loved practices of the season!) is set for:

• Thursday July 16th for AM groups
• Thursday for PM groups

We may add a bonus Drag Day Friday morning for AM swimmers — Neon Day with T-shirts and Fun Socks only for that one.

What’s Drag Day?
It’s a fun tradition where swimmers wear something that creates “drag” in the water (shorts, T-shirts, old Halloween costumes, tutus, etc.) for half of practice — then take it off and race fast to feel light and speedy! It’s a great way to begin tapering and a fun way to celebrate all their hard work. We will be working on starts, turns, and finishes so it won't be all fun and games. 

We'll also have:

• Donuts!
• Relays & races
• Photo ops
• Play time for a few minutes

Important Safety Notes:
Clothing must be safe and swimmable. No hats, masks, or hooded shirts during swimming. These can be worn for pictures only.

Participation is optional, but it’s a favorite every year!

If you didn't pay your Divisional Fees upfront please see your name below. If you already paid please ignore, if not please bring to practice tomorrow or Friday (if cash please put in envelope with your name on it). As a reminder it is $20 per swimmer

🙋Volunteers Needed for Divisionals

We still some volunteers for Saturday. If you can volunteer as a stager in the 2nd half, or in ribbons in either half please let me know. Those are the two roles we still need to fill.

Everyone who is not a pool member and registered online has already had their non-member fee charged
